Thematic Analysis_Phase 3 - searching for themes - ~Sally Interview - iteration 6 - Coding Memo_016

Phase 3: Searching for themes.
Collated all sub-themes from previous slides, including freehand ideas and selected which sub-themes correlated with which research question. In the process, the original third research question "How can animation, viewed in virtual reality, represent the perceptual-experiences of art-practitioners with sight-loss and promote awareness of blind art-practice?" was adjusted to reflect the sub-themes identified during phase 3. New research question
How do the perceptual-experiences of artists, with sight-loss, influence and shape creative practice?

Two main potential themes searched for and identified today:

Negative Experience - only functional sight is important
Positive Experience - sight-loss as a creative advantage
