Data Analysis_Critical Reflection – Coding Memo_009 04 May 2020. Sally Interview 20 January 2020. Phase 2. Generating initial codes

Process and flow of coding ideas:
2D drawings into 3D VR environments. Being able to step into a drawing in VR. Excited to participate and discover possibilities  in VR drawing. Haptic touch in VR to enable engagement. Importance of VR controls being intuitive and not menu driven. Considering a further one-to-one drawing experience with Sally in VR and to record her experience.

Created slides for latent codes and semantic codes.

Initial latent codes considered today:
Despite personal admission that sculpture and concept of 3D space is difficult with non-stereoscopic vision -  the idea of 3D drawing in VR is exciting.
The potential to be able to draw in VR is interesting

Initial semantic codes considered today:
Drawing in VR needs to be intuitive and not menu driven.
Paper, ink and physical connection to materials is important; replicating that in VR is necessary
Haptic experience would need to represent real experience
