DJCAD REQUIREMENTS 6.6 Intention to Submit At least three months before the intended date of your final viva voce examination, your principal research supervisor is responsible for ensuring that a completed Intention to Submit proforma (see Appendix PGR.10) is completed and submitted to the Research Degrees Office. The purpose of this proforma, which you must countersign, is to establish the proposed composition of the examining committee for the thesis. It is important that you discuss the composition of the examining committee with your supervisors well in advance of the three-month deadline, as identifying a suitable external examiner can take time. 6.7 Thesis Requirements Although it is becoming increasingly common for art and design research degrees to have a strong practice element and is actively encouraged, it is not yet possible to present a thesis which is entirely based on visual practice.
