Coding memo - 028

Realisation this morning that the difficulty with searching for themes with the codes that I've created from the interview with Aaron, is that the codes don't stand alone on their own. Far too scant and without any context they don't make sense....
I thought my method of coding data would save time. I have realised that, the method and process in powerpoint does save time on future data coding, but the actual process of creating codes that have inherent context cannot be skipped. This is a fundamental part of the data coding process. Without contextual codes, the codes become random words that cannot be understood in isolation and therefore sub-themes are impossible to create...

Re-visiting previous memos in phase 1 and 2, to amend the codes, make more substantial, so that they stand alone....

Process of revisiting memo 19 now complete and I now have a more detailed and comprehensive list of data codes. See coding memo 029
