Assessment and Feedback...Session 3.

Discussed in groups and as a whole, assessments and feedback.
The importance of adhering to criteria and assessing accordingly was stressed; in particular not allowing the criteria to be ignored or minimised by the student's attitude or performance in class.... either positive or negative.

Key points:

  • Providing effective feedback, either face-to-face or remotely via dictation over film
  • Feedback methods can vary, depending on the type of student and discipline.
  • Provide feed-forward and three action points for 'next time'
