Conference call with RNIB in Edinburgh 16 March 2020
A conference call was set with Daniel Miekle and Jane Coates of the RNIB in Edinburgh. The call was to discuss preliminary ideas for a public engagement event, including a Dine in the Dark Experience, keynote speakers, a Q&A plenary and to trial a prototype animated VR.
Due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus the RNIB were in the process of establishing procedures for their clients. The public engagement idea has been put on hold for the foreseeable future, with an aim
to hold it later in 2020.
The call did touch upon the Dine in the Dark Experience and Daniel Miekle suggested a fun taster session, rather than a full dining experience and that it include both sighted and non-sighted participants.
