Lucid dreaming, just before awakening.... The underground train to have a semi-solid front, sliding doors and ends to the carriages. The chairs to float and the shape of the carriage to be delineated by poles. Additional dialogue obtained from the interviews, that I don't want to include in the spoken audio, to be captured in word form, and to create adverts above the seating. When considering the ceiling of the tube train, I don't want there to be a solid ceiling. The idea of transparency and missing sections, is a visual metaphor for the descriptions of sight-loss. The ceiling will be represented by one singular horizontal rail. This will give a clear focus for the 'strap hanging people' that Sally mentions that she can catch glimpses of. Today, modelling using the ribbon brush and then optimising the geometry to keep the polycount low.

 Technical considerations today. There is a polygon limit, for uploading Quill drawings. Pleased with my tube seats yesterday, but the polygon count was 73k. Followed this tutorial  https://youtu.be/4xQ327sY4nA . Bit the bullet this afternoon and remodelled them using the ribbon brush method of creating a cushion. New row of seats look better and I can apply more detailed painting to create the fabric, plus the polygon count is now down to 280. Back row shown against the technical drawing are low polygon - the ones in the foreground are the old method using a cube brush.

Critical Reflection - geometric tube station

 Working in Quill is immediate. Concept ideas to finished work is possible within the VR environment. This is making the working practice of creating a VR experience pretty fast. Today, working on the environment for the London Underground, has been productive. Setting a timer for 50 minutes working with a 15 minute break, in a different room, playing online chess and walking around. Experimented today with drawing style for the tube train. I like the simplicity of the tube tiles and structural arches. Sally commented that she particularly likes the curvature of the tube and the logo design. Electric blue tiles, which aren't adhering strictly to the colour of the actual tiles in Piccadilly Circus, but they reflect Sally's concept idea in her sketch books of creating a wash of colour, representative of the line on the tube map. Thesis - method of review of sections

 Agreed with supervisors: Master Document with thesis structure, using the navigation pane in word, to be stored in Teams folder and updated each Friday. Written draft extracts to be sent to supervisors (approx 1000 words) in the body of an email (for simple review). Plus a word.doc version to be uploaded into Teams, for tracked changes and comments from supervisors. Revision log to be stored in Teams folder and updated each Friday. Log to show colour coding writing in progress, sent for review, supervisor comments and updated section.
