Quill anim brush to create abstract traffic lines

Image
A breakthrough yesterday in figuring out (following a tutorial and someone's helpful comment on youtube) how to create perpendicular lines and setting the restricted camera for comfort. Workflow sped up exponentially. Fast progress this morning and created 'dazzling' Piccadilly Circus. Used the animbrush technique to create car head and tail light traces. Lots of movement and business and I like the abstract quality and rush of lines. The trace lines can then lead the viewers eye along the road and round the corner into a tranquil space....

London Bus - Quill drawing

Thoughts about the transition from David's dark world into bright Piccadilly Circus.... Exit David's world....Dark interior - sound fade Dark environment...sounds of traffic, cars honking and a bus idling. Fade up images of Piccaddilly Circus. Bright, vivid, neon colours, streets, sounds, cars, light traces of headlights and tail lights in red. Wet pavements.... Conductor's bell sound. Viewer (camera) it situated on the rear of a London RM open platform bus....pulls away slowly and the view of Piccadilly Circus moves with parallax motion....short journey of a few seconds during Aaron's dialogue. Camera moves from the bus towards simplicity and a dark environment with trees. Modelling today in Quill....getting to grips with drawing and creating straight geometry, using Oculus Quest controllers.....this model will be tidied (practice required!) and exported into Unity and lit

Negative space - VR concept environment

Working on the transition between Sally's environment and David's. Sally drawing scramble queues of just legs "Trying to capture the essence of something in line" transition to David's world where negative space is as important as positive space. Orange outlines of commuter's legs, captured with simple lines become thicker to morph into solid shapes - morphing into full abstract body shapes. Colour transition from orange to peach to white, to show the transformation from outline to negative shapes
